Notes can be recorded by typing, customizing and using dropdown verbiage, using what we call ‘helpers’ which will complete a sentence by clicking on a word or chart, selecting a few items from the chart such as trigger points, or by voice recognition via a program such as Dragon Naturally Speaking. All of this allows for speed, detail, and accuracy, and bottom line, efficiency.

REPORTS – RAPID has an amazing system of creating reports within seconds. The user can choose from an initial report, daily note report, interim (re-exam) report, or comprehensive report. Depending upon the chosen report, data is pulled from the appropriate fields and the report is created in narrative style within seconds in MS Word so that fine tuned editing can take place at any time. Most offices not using our system either don’t send reports because of the time involved, or send them late after the files have been sitting on the doctors desk for a few days or weeks, which in turn prolongs payment to the office. With RAPID that concern is eliminated and the office can flow without this obstruction.

COMPLIANCE – Not only does an office need include required data in the notes to receive stimulus money, any third party payer will freeze or deny payment if the required information is missing from the notes. RAPID guides the doctor through the standard accepted fields so that important information is not missing. As mentioned above, our ‘Meaningful Use’ dashboard flags any missing data, making it easy for the office to make corrections before the flow is significantly obstructed.

PAPER REDUCTION – Most ‘Paperless’ offices still hand the patient a stack of paperwork to complete, retrieve the completed paperwork and enter the information into the computer, scan it, shred it, and call themselves ‘Paperless’ because it’s gone by the end of the day. RAPID has an efficient system of allowing a kiosk in the waiting room where the patient can fill out ‘paperwork’ digitally, which is immediately in the doctor’s notes before he/she sees the patient…all without the staff having to spend valuable time with data entry. Custom forms that an office may want the patient to fill out can be scanned in the system, becoming accessible to send to the kiosk at any time.
