Fact verification
Fact verification checks every factual claim on a page before publication against a primary source or the author’s documented first-hand experience, records the source on the page, and rejects claims that cannot be supported. It is needed when content cites statistics without sources, when drafting tools have produced plausible but unverified statements, when regulated subjects such as health, law or finance require claims that can be defended, or when the organization’s credibility depends on never being caught in an error. Verification produces a claims register per page with the source of each, corrections or removals where support is absent, the on-page sources section, and the record that shows a named person verified the page.

Questions
Asked before engaging.
What counts as a primary source?
The original: the regulation, the study, the standard, the dataset, the organization’s own measured results. A news article about a study is not the study.
What if a claim cannot be sourced?
It is removed or restated as the author’s first-hand view, labeled as such. We never publish a number without a source.
Do you verify competitor comparisons?
Yes, and they are held to a higher standard because they carry legal exposure.
