Static build and deployment on Cloudflare Pages
Static build and deployment on Cloudflare Pages produces the site as static HTML generated from content files by a build step, deployed to Cloudflare’s edge network: no content management system to patch, no plugins to exploit, no database to breach, no administrator login to brute-force, every word present in the HTML response, and hosting that rounds to zero at any traffic level. It is needed when a site must be fast, secure and fully readable by crawlers that do not execute JavaScript, when a CMS has become a maintenance and security burden, when the organization wants to own its site as files in a repository, or when a content program will generate pages at scale. The work produces the build pipeline, the templates and content structure, the deployment configuration, and the documentation that lets the organization run it.

Questions
Asked before engaging.
How do we edit content without a CMS?
By editing content files in the repository, with the build regenerating the site. For non-technical editors, a lightweight editing interface over the files is available.
Is static too limiting?
For an authority site, no. Forms, search and dynamic features are handled with small functions or trusted services, without a CMS behind the whole site.
Why Cloudflare Pages?
Edge delivery, generous limits, security features and cost that rounds to zero. The build is portable if that ever changes.
