Original research for citation
Original research for citation produces data the organization alone can publish: surveys, benchmarks, log studies and measured comparisons that give answer engines, journalists and competitors a number they must attribute to the source. It is needed when the organization has access to data nobody else has, when its sector lacks a credible benchmark, when citation seeding needs material worth placing, or when a GEO program needs a citation asset that generic content cannot provide. The work produces a research design with a method that can withstand scrutiny, data collection and analysis, a published piece with method, tables, findings and limitations stated, and the distribution that puts the number in front of the people and systems that will cite it.

Questions
Asked before engaging.
Do we have research-worthy data?
More organizations do than realize. Operational data, anonymized and aggregated, often answers questions a whole sector asks.
What makes research citable?
A number nobody else has, a method that is stated, and a source that can be named. Without all three it is content, not research.
Can we see an example of the method?
Our own Research hub publishes studies with method and limitations stated. See Research.
