Security evidence preparation
Security evidence preparation assembles, organizes and verifies the proof that controls exist and operate, in the form an auditor, customer, insurer, regulator or acquirer will accept. It is needed before a certification audit, a customer security review, a cyber insurance application or renewal, a due-diligence process or a regulatory examination, and whenever the evidence exists but is scattered across people, tools and inboxes. The preparation produces an evidence pack mapped to each control or question, with every item checked for currency, completeness and consistency, a gap list where evidence is missing or weak, and an index that lets the reviewer find what they need without a meeting. The result is a review that goes quickly because nothing has to be hunted for.
Scope
What the review covers.
- Control or question list the evidence must answer, mapped item by item
- Collection from systems, tools, records and people
- Verification: is each item current, complete, consistent with the others
- Gap identification where evidence does not exist or does not support the claim
- Organization and indexing for the reviewer
- Handover so the pack can be maintained for the next cycle

Questions
Asked before engaging.
Do you create evidence?
No. We collect, verify and organize evidence that exists, and we tell you where it does not. Fabricated evidence is a bigger problem than a gap.
Can this be done for a customer questionnaire?
Yes. Questionnaires are the most common use. A well-built pack answers most of the next questionnaire too.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope and on how scattered the evidence is. A first pack takes longest; maintaining it afterward is a fraction of the effort.
