Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA
Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA makes the site usable by people with disabilities and by the assistive technologies they rely on, to the level the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines define as AA: perceivable content, operable navigation, understandable structure and robust markup, verified by automated tools and by manual testing with keyboards and screen readers. It is needed when the organization serves the public or regulated populations, when accessibility law or procurement rules apply, when complaints or demand letters have arrived, or when a site is being rebuilt and accessibility should be built in rather than retrofitted. The work produces an accessibility audit, remediation in the design system and templates so every page inherits it, manual testing records, and the statement the organization can publish.

Questions
Asked before engaging.
Is an automated scan enough?
No. Automated tools find a fraction of issues. Keyboard and screen reader testing find the rest.
Does accessibility conflict with design?
Not when it is built into the design system. Restraint, contrast and clear structure serve everyone.
What about accessibility of PDFs and videos?
In scope where they are published: tagged documents, captions and transcripts.
