Endpoint protection oversight
Endpoint protection oversight verifies that every device that should be protected is protected, that the protection is configured to do its job, and that what it detects is acted on. It is needed when the endpoint tool reports coverage that does not match the asset inventory, when policies have drifted or were never hardened, when a ransomware readiness review or insurer asks for endpoint evidence, or when detections pile up unreviewed. Oversight produces a reconciled picture of devices versus protected devices, a hardened and documented policy configuration, a review cadence for detections and exclusions, and the coverage and configuration evidence that auditors and insurers now ask for by name.
Scope
What the review covers.

- Policy configuration review and hardening with exclusions justified
- Detection and response settings, including isolation and rollback
- Detection review cadence and ownership
- Reporting for audits, insurers and customer reviews
- Coordination with the endpoint vendor or managed provider

Questions
Asked before engaging.
Do you sell endpoint protection?
No. We oversee the platform you have chosen and tell you when it is not configured to protect you.
What about devices we do not manage?
Unmanaged devices with access to data are a finding. Oversight makes them visible so a decision can be made.
Can this satisfy a cyber insurance question about endpoint detection?
Yes. The coverage and policy evidence is built to answer exactly that question.
