Critical infrastructure support
Critical infrastructure support provides planned and on-demand technical support for the systems an organization cannot afford to lose: the servers, storage, networks, power, cooling and connectivity that keep critical services running. It is needed when the organization has no in-house capacity for these systems, when a single engineer is the only one who understands them, when operations run around the clock and support does not, or when an audit or customer requires documented support arrangements for critical systems. The support produces a documented critical system inventory with support procedures, scheduled maintenance performed under change control, a defined response for failures, and the records that show critical systems are maintained and supported on purpose.
Scope
What the review covers.
- Critical system inventory with dependencies and support procedures
- Scheduled maintenance under change control
- Failure response: detection, escalation, resolution, record
- Capacity and health monitoring for critical components
- Coordination with vendors and facilities providers
- Documentation and knowledge capture to remove single points of knowledge
Deliverables
What you receive.
| Deliverable | Form |
|---|---|
| Critical system inventory | Systems, dependencies, procedures, contacts |
| Maintenance records | Scheduled work under change control |
| Response record | Failures, actions, resolutions |
| Documentation set | Operating and recovery procedures |
Prerequisites
What we need from you.
- The list of critical systems and their current support arrangements
- Access to the systems and to vendor support contracts
- Agreement on response expectations

Questions
Asked before engaging.
Is this a managed service?
It can be delivered as one, on a defined scope, or as scheduled support around your own team.
Do you support physical facilities?
We coordinate with facilities and data-center providers for power, cooling and connectivity and support the technical systems that depend on them.
How do you handle knowledge held by one person?
Documentation and knowledge capture are part of the scope. The goal is that no critical system depends on one memory.
