Flat fees and aligned incentives

Our growth plans are a fixed monthly fee with a twelve-month minimum, and our paid-media governance is never a percentage of spend. The structure is the point.

Our growth plans are a flat monthly fee, published as starting prices from five thousand to fifty thousand dollars a month, with a twelve-month minimum. Paid-media governance inside those plans is included in the fee and never charged as a percentage of advertising spend. The structure aligns our incentive with the client’s: we are paid the same whether the client spends more or less on advertising, so our recommendation to reduce spend as earned demand grows costs us nothing, and our interest is in qualified inquiries at the lowest cost that holds them. The twelve-month minimum reflects the citation lag honestly rather than promising results in weeks.

In detail

What the evidence shows.

Why flat

A manager paid on spend is rewarded for growing spend. A manager paid a flat fee is rewarded only by keeping the client, which depends on results. The fee removes the reason for bad advice rather than relying on good character to overcome it. See why a flat fee changes what a paid-media partner recommends.

Why twelve months

Citations build over months, not weeks, and we say so at the start rather than discovering it with the client in month three. A shorter term would either promise what the work cannot deliver or produce an engagement that ends before it works. The minimum is an honest statement about how long the method takes.

What the client owns

Accounts, content, data, the site and the measurement are the client’s from the first day, and the handback is planned at the start. Flat fees make that possible because there is no revenue in holding anything.

What is public and what is not

Plan names, starting prices, the minimum term and the fee structure are published on the plans page. What each plan includes in detail is set out in a confidential proposal, because the right scope depends on the organization. See also flat-fee versus percentage-of-spend media management.
