How do you handle regulated claims?
With a review workflow built into publishing. Every factual claim in a draft is extracted into a claims register and verified against a primary source or the author’s documented experience before anyone else reviews it. In regulated categories such as medical, legal, financial and insurance, the verified draft then passes to the organization’s compliance function or counsel inside a recorded workflow, with the applicable advertising, professional and claims rules applied in the editorial standards. The expert signs the final version. Claims that cannot be supported are removed or restated; outcome claims, testimonials and comparisons are handled under the rules of the jurisdiction. The records are retained.
In more detail
The reasoning.
Compliance review is slower than ordinary publishing, and the pace is set to the review capacity. The page specification removes most review friction by getting claims and sources right before compliance sees the draft, and the pages last longer because they are right.
The same discipline applies to paid creative: ads and landing pages in regulated categories are reviewed against platform policy and professional rules before they run, with the records kept.
