Render

To render a page is to execute its scripts and styles to produce the final content a user sees; a crawler that does not render sees only the HTML the server returned.

Extended definition

In more detail.

Most AI crawlers do not execute JavaScript. If a page’s content is injected by scripts after load, those crawlers receive an empty shell and the page cannot be retrieved or cited. Google renders many pages, with delay and limits. The safe design is to serve every word in the HTML response, so that the page reads the same with scripts disabled, and to treat scripts as enhancement.

In our work

Where it appears.

Every page on this site is pre-rendered and tested with scripts disabled. The crawler-eye test in crawl and render readiness shows what each crawler actually receives.
