Knowledge graph

A knowledge graph is a structured database of entities and the relationships between them that search and answer engines use to understand who and what a query refers to.

Extended definition

In more detail.

Google’s Knowledge Graph is the best known, but every major engine maintains something similar. Entries are built from structured data on websites, authoritative databases such as Wikidata, business profiles and consistent references across the web. An organization with a coherent entry is described accurately and connected to its people and content; one without is described from whatever the engine finds, often outdated or confused with a namesake.

In our work

Where it appears.

Profile consistency across Google Business Profile, LinkedIn, Wikidata, Crunchbase and sector directories is part of entity and schema engineering.
