Largest Contentful Paint
Largest Contentful Paint is the time from the start of page load until the largest visible content element, usually a heading, image or block of text, has rendered.
Extended definition
In more detail.
LCP measures when the page appears substantially loaded to the visitor. Google’s threshold for a good experience is 2.5 seconds or less. It is affected by server response time, render-blocking resources, image size and format, and font loading. On static, edge-delivered sites with optimized images and no render-blocking scripts, LCP is typically well inside the threshold on mobile.
