Why static instead of WordPress?
Because a static site removes an entire class of risk and cost. There is no content management system, plugin set, database or administrator login to patch and defend, which is where professional practice sites are attacked. Pages are finished HTML served from the edge, so they load in under a second on a phone and every word is readable by crawlers that do not execute JavaScript. And the build enforces the page specification, schema, dates and links on every page, which no CMS does by default. The trade is editing: content lives in files with a build step, and a lightweight editor covers non-technical staff.
In more detail
The reasoning.
WordPress can be made fast, secure and crawlable with discipline, and managed hosting reduces the maintenance burden; it does not remove the application layer or the plugin risk, and page builders often render content in ways crawlers miss. For an authority site that must be cited, the static approach is the default and WordPress is the exception that needs justifying.
Migration from WordPress is done without ranking loss: every URL inventoried, redirects mapped one hop, metadata and content carried over, monitoring for weeks after cutover.
