Person schema
Person schema is the structured data block that identifies an individual, typically an author or leader, with their name, job title, employer, areas of expertise and sameAs profiles.
Extended definition
In more detail.
For authority content, Person schema is what connects a byline to a verifiable human: it states who the author is, where they work, what they know about and where else they can be found. Engines weigh content more heavily when its author can be verified, and Person schema on the author’s profile page, combined with author markup on each signed page, is how that verification happens.
